Abstract Français:
La contraception en 2004 est en Belgique
principalement constituée d’agents oestroprogestatifs.
Le mode d’administration cependant se
diversifie. En effet, pour maintenir un bon contrôle du
cycle malgré des doses d’hormones de plus en
plus faibles, l’administration transmuqueuse et
transcutanée marque un développement
intéressant. L’utilisation de ces voies “ non orales ” vise
également à réduire le risque d’oubli de
contraceptif qui constitue, avec l’abandon de la méthode
pour intolérance, une des causes principales de
survenue des grossesses non désirées chez les
jeunes patientes.

Abstract in English:
The part of the hormonal contraception in
Belgium is important. The mode of administration
has diversified during these last years. Indeed, in
order to prevent spotting and breakthrough
bleeding sometimes associated with low dosage
pill, trans mucosa as well as trans cutaneous
hormone administrations are interesting
developments. The use of these “ non oral ”
administrations also aim at reducing the risk of
forgetting the contraceptive pill which is, together
with the leave of the method for intolerance the
major cause of unplanned pregnancies in young
women.
